Artist Support Pledge

In March, 2016, 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic left many artists without opportunities to display or sell their work because of gallery closings and art show cancellations, Matthew Burroughs, a UK artist, decided to start a grassroots effort to create a #generousculture #sustainableecononomy and #supportivecommunity for all artists and makers. He launched the Artist Support Pledge, a non-profit initiative on Instagram.

The concept is a simple one. Artists and makers post images of their work that they are willing to sell for no more than $200 each (not including shipping). Anyone can buy the work. Every time a participating artist reaches $1000 of sales, they pledge to spend $200 on another independent artist's work

We have been participating in The Artist Support Pledge since April, 2020. And we count all sales on our smaller works toward our Artist Support Pledge commitment.  It has been an honor to participate and encourage other artists who share this vision for mutual support and generosity.

Follow the hashtag #artistsupportpledge to see the art being produced across the globe as part of this initiative. Your purchases can not only brighten your world, but also make a big difference for independent artists and makers!

See below for all artwork created by Debbie or Brian that is part of this special sale. (Note: all sales of artwork $200 or less will count toward our pledge as well.)
